Ahhhhh October, you are finally here!  I love our business and farm, but it’s comforting to know that rest is just around the corner.  The first frost will be sometime in the next couple weeks and then garden clean-up will commence.  I’m definitely looking forward to a slower paced fall and winter.  There’s also a lot of planning to be done for next season and that is one of my favorite yearly tasks!

In the meantime, flower sales and events are still happening! September was filled with fun events!  One was a Flower Bar Pop-Up at Poppy and the other was a flower bar at Les Bourgeois for a Veterans United retreat.  I love seeing people getting to pick out their own flowers and have fun with them.  Wine and yummy charcuterie trays from Graze By Carrie always help. 🙂  I’d love to do more of these for companies or family/friend get togethers, so please keep this in mind for next season!  It’s super informal and fun!

We were also able to donate flower memberships and bouquets to a few of our favorite causes.  Giving back to our community is very important to our family and business.  If there is a cause who needs a silent auction item, our memberships are a great way to raise some money.

Another exciting new adventure is opening up our farm to photographers.  They are able to “rent” our farm for their photo sessions.  We have done a few of them this summer and we have all enjoyed it.  We will be hosting some more sessions in the fall, as well.  Kelsi Kliethermes will be out here in October for mini sessions, and so will Carly Buntin.  Please visit their websites for more info!

Hope everyone enjoys their fall!  See you next month! 🙂
