It’s almost the end of year and that comes with a lot of reflection.  My business coach suggested that I do a recap of 2018 to provide some closure, to start off on the right foot for 2019.  You guys, 2018 was crazy!  I sold a business, got pregnant, built a house (not by myself J), my son started preschool, I basically became a stay at home mom and a farmer, and now we are preparing for baby boy #2.  Lots of changes, but I feel like they have all been completely in the flow and brought about by God.

I thought I might share my 2019 goals, so that you can get to know me a little more:

1)Provide a supportive environment for my family

2)High priority for my relationship with my husband

3)High self-care/balance

4)Open to divine guidance with the farm

5)Transfer last money management client to someone else

As you can see, only 2 of my goals deal with work, but in reality, they will all affect my career and business.  In my last business, it was very difficult for me to find balance.  I was overcommitted and working way too much.  With this farm business, I am going to schedule my work time and plan to stick to it as much as possible.  Obviously, with a farm, seasons affect the busyness of the business (hehe), but that’s when I will delegate a lot of those extra tasks (that’s what husbands and dads are for, right?!)

So, basically, I’m still working on focus for the farm, but with prayer and building more relationships, I’m confident that the right path will present itself.  Right now, I’ve had a lot of conversations with a potential local partner about an orchard.  More on this to come in the new year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
